Shortcode Management with Twilio

ReSci currently relies on Twilio as its CPaaS (communications platform as a service) for sending SMS and MMS messages. If you prefer to use ReSci SMS with an existing shortcode you own and are using Twilio as your CPaaS, please read below on how we can integrate with your Twilio account.

Note: Clients on a ReSci shared shortcode, like 710-23 or a dedicated shortcode, do not need a Twilio account.

Option One: Transfer Shortcode Ownership to ReSci

ReSci will create a ticket with the Twilio Support team to initiate the move from your Twilio account to the ReSci Twilio account. Your team will need to file an identical support request (which we will provide you) from your Twilio account.

When this option is recommended: When you would like to use ReSci as your dedicated SMS platform for all types of messages, i.e., promotional and transactional messages.

Note: We will place the shortcode ownership cost on our invoice.

Option Two: Add ReSci as a User to Your Existing Twilio Account

ReSci will generate API keys to integrate your Twilio account and shortcode with our platform. We will also point your webhooks back to the ReSci app.

When this option is recommended: When you prefer to use Twilio directly for certain types of non-promotional, transactional messages, and Voyage for promotional messages.
