SMS pricing and message segments

ReSci charges a flat rate for SMS and MMS messages. 

Although each SMS and MMS sent will be billed at a standard rate, sometimes, SMS and MMS messages can be broken into multiple segments by the carriers if the message exceeds certain character limits. Billing is charged per segment, not per message. So if you see any messages charged at 2-3x the rate on your invoices, it is because they were broken out into additional segments by the carriers.

Generally, the following conditions will create additional segments with the carriers:

• +1 SMS segment for every 160 characters (includes client short name and link added)
• +1 SMS segment for every emoji added 
• +1 SMS segment for accented characters 
• +1 MMS segment for every image / media file added
