The Cortex Settings page can be found under "Settings" in the toolbar under the Cortex category:
The Cortex Settings page contains both Global and Stage settings.
Global Settings
Global Filter - this allows you to globally target a set of users to receive your emails. This is optional and not necessary under most circumstances. An example use case is: any users who do not have @amazon in their email address are allowed to receive emails. The Global Filter does not effect Welcome Stage, Promo Blast Stage, and the Custom Transactional Stage.
Suppress dormant users - this option will filter out any users from receiving emails who have had no activity for the past year. Next to the setting is your current count of dormant users, so you can see how many will be filtered out. It is recommended that you check this box to protect your deliverability rates. This does not apply to Promo Blasts, Custom Transactional emails, or Welcome.
Apply settings to Promo Blast/Paths - these options will apply the above setting to Promo Blasts and/or Paths.
Cortex Minimum Interval - this is a setting that allows you to adjust the minimum frequency that users are allowed to receive emails. For example, if you do not want users to receive emails more frequently than every 2 days, you would set this to "2". The default setting is "3". Cortex will make best effort to adhere to this frequency, but certain triggers will go out when they occur, such as a cart abandon, price drop, etc.
Stage Settings
Follow up stage interval (days) - this setting determines how long Cortex will wait to send a Follow Up email after a user makes a purchase. For more information on the Follow Up stage, click here.
Cart abandon timing - this setting determines whether Cart Abandon emails should be sent at the user's optimal time of day, or to send as soon as possible. For more information on the Cart Abandon stage, click here.
Enable Cortex - when this toggle is set to ON, you will be able to send emails through enabled Cortex stages.
