Cortex is designed to match the number of sends to the amount of user activity it sees.  If a user is highly engaged both on-site and with email, they will receive sends at a higher rate.

As an employee of one of our partner sites, you will naturally find yourself on-site more than the average customer.  As an employee, you will naturally open and click more emails than the average customer.  This means, that you will receive more emails than the average customer, sometimes a lot more!  If you're opening and clicking every email, Cortex sees that as someone who is very responsive to email and will dial your preferred interval down to the smallest number possible.  This means you can receive an email every day!

However, none of your customers browse the site or interact with email as much as you do.  They browse just a few pages at a time, a few times a week.
