Smile.io is a popular points and referral program used by many ecommerce brands.
With the Smile.io and ReSci integration, you will be able to leverage Smile.io data as merge tags in email and as conditions in segments.
Including Smile Properties in Emails
Install the Smile Plugin
- Click Integrations within the menu on the left.
- Search for Smile and click on the Smile block.

You will be redirected to Smile.io where you will authorize the ReSci app. See the Enable section below for the next steps.
Note: If you have multiple smile.io accounts (e.g. a separate account for testing), please ensure you are logged into the proper account before proceeding with installation.
Enable the Integration
- When the smile.io oauth url finishes redirecting you to the below page, click "Authorize" to enable the integration. This will also take you back to the ReSci Integrations Center.
- Once installed, you will see the plugin page that contains a usage table for all of the emails that are currently using any of your Smile attributes.
This completes the ReSci and Smile.io integration. Please allow up to an hour for historical data to load into ReSci before using.

Including Smile Properties in Emails
Once connected, the Smile.io data will be available as merge tags to be used in ReSci. See below for how to access the merge tags within the Drag and Drop Email Builder and the HTML Editor.
Drag and Drop Email Builder
The smile merge tags will appear in the standard merge tag list. They will be identified with (Smile) appending the name of the merge tag.
HTML Editor
The smile merge tags will appear in the standard merge tag list under the sub header "Smile" as shown below.
Smile Segment Filters
Smile properties will be available as a filter in the segment builder. Smile data will be available under the "Smile" subheader in the dropdown. The data can be used just like any other field within ReSci.
