Promotional Blast

Promo Blast is for your highest priority delivery-critical marketing messages.  It will send independent of other Cortex rules, and will override any other send a user is scheduled to receive.  Promo Blast should be used for only the most important messages, such as specific holiday sales.

Promo Blast does not affect a user's Cortex interval, and will not change the cadence of sends from other stages.

Promo Blast will send to everyone in your list, or everyone in your targeted segment if a segment is used for the send.  Unlike Smart Blast it will override any other messaging from Cortex that day.

When will the Promo Blast send?

Promo Blast has three scheduling options: send as soon as possible, send at a scheduled time, and send at recipient’s local time. As soon as possible will start processing to send immediately - but processing time for the send is determined by the size of your site’s users list, the segment conditions used, and other factors. Sending at a scheduled time will send all emails at the same time, and the selected time will reflect your account’s time zone. Send at recipient’s local time will use known or predicted location data for users to assign a time zone, and will send at the scheduled time for each time zone across the day. If a user’s location is not known, your account’s time zone will be used as their time zone. Promo Blast is not affected by a user's send interval or best time to contact.

How do Promo Blast Product Recommendations work?

Product recommendations for Promo Blast use our Standard Best Recommendation Scheme, with Intelligent Cold Start and Cold Start recommendations as backups when users do not have sufficient information available.
